The world’s second-largest economy has the most puppies in China, a new report shows, with more than 3,300 million dogs in the country.
The report, from dog-training and animal-protection groups, showed China had nearly a third of the world’s dogs, about 1.8 billion.
The United States has about 1 billion dogs, followed by the United Kingdom with 1.6 billion.
The United States is in second place, with nearly a fifth of the dogs, while China has nearly half of the dog population, said the dog-toting groups.
China has the second-highest number of dog-owners, the report showed.
The US and UK are home to more than half of all the dogs in China.
